Unlock the Currency of Community | with Brian Fanzo

Brand to Fan Show EP02

It’s episode two and we’re renaming the show already in honor of today’s guest–Welcome to the Brand to Fan(zo) Show!

EPISODE 02

Host Lauren Teague sits down with her good friend (and futurist keynote speaker) Brian Fanzo to explore what fandom will look like in the future – so we can get an idea of what we’re building toward and how to leverage technology and creators to use their powers for good.

They talk about everything from the importance of an online community to becoming an A.I. artist (WHAT?!). Brian shares insights on how to celebrate your customers and demonstrate to them how you are truly listening. This inspiring chat reveals why core values are key and what the real currency is for the community of fans around your brand.

I believe communities are the future of business. But I believe businesses have to invest in a community long before they recognize it as a revenue-generating stream.
— Brian Fanzo

The Guest: BRIAN FANZO

Brian Fanzo bridges the gap between technology and humanity. He is a digital keynote speaker, a Pittsburgh sports nut, and the founder of iSocialFanz and NFT365. Brian wears several hats as a creator, influencer, podcaster, and, now, artist – but his favorite hats are always black and yellow. What are you a fan of?

Well, Tik Tok for sure. There are food reviews that are changing local businesses where people are going in and reviewing food from businesses. the restaurants don't have a marketing budget, and you have these influencers collaborating and celebrating these businesses.

I just love that like all this is like it's using our powers for good. That's something I'm a really big fan of at the moment. I'm a fan of those who are looking at that Creator world and finding ways now not to monetize, but support each other as creators right?

I'm a big fan of the mental health conversations that we are having at a much more transparent level.

What is your favorite piece of Fanwear you own?

It's a Jerome Bettis Throwback Jersey, and you know, number 36, White Jersey. I got to meet him when I was a senior in High School. It was a golf outing my dad had sponsored, and my dad won the first pick [in the pro-am].

Dan Marino and Joe Montana were there too. But my dad, being a Pittsburgh fan, picked out Bettis, and we got to play golf with him. The genuine connection that he made with us, and he'd only been with Steelers for one year at that point. For me, being able to [play with him that day], then I bought that jersey.

I got to wear it to his last game when you know they played against Seattle in the Super Bowl. So that jersey, every time I put it on it, it like connects me back.
